Siemens Skills for Sustainability Network aims to foster the exchange of ideas, opportunities and good practice between academia and industry on a global scale, exploring how to effectively embed the skills that engineers need to address sustainability into engineering curricula.

The dynamic network currently hosts a valuable community of over 300 members, representing 170 institutions in 40 countries around the world.

Siemens recently held another successful gathering at the 2024 SEFI Annual Conference and are proud to see the Sustainability Toolkit presented both at SEFI and this week’s IGIP ICL conference by partners the Engineering Professors Council.

This month, our latest Global Learning Expedition took place in Paris & Fontainebleau. 16 students from the University of Exeter were challenged by Google to think critically about the future of work and business by working on how Generative AI would impact business and operations in a multinational, SME, Start-up and NGO.This expedition was a fantastic opportunity for students to collaborate, learn, and grow. We were so impressed by the creativity and dedication of all the teams.

Global Leaders program participants visiting Google headquarter in Paris

Earlier this year, student teams from around the world were invited to Realize LIVE 2024 to take part in the Siemens Student Sustainability Design Hack. The goal of this competition was to help students connect the dots between theory and practice while gaining relevant, in-demand experience.
