Employability Day returns to BARUFC

employability dayCalling all 16 to 18-year-olds! The Employability Day returns to Bishop Auckland Rugby Club on 27th March.

This special interactive event is designed to help you explore different options, connect directly to local and global employers, identify what you’re good at and how to kickstart your future career. Multi-award-winning agency and proud club sponsor Petrus Communications are bringing their top consultants to animate the day and make sure you get loads out of it.

The feedback from our pilot launch speaks for itself! Our 2018 participants described the event as ‘a very new and useful experience’ which ‘helped me to motivate myself’ and ‘learn new skills and find out about jobs I didn’t previously know about.’

Alongside our engaging and enjoyable interactive workshops and a Q&A, we’ll also be launching a brand-new networking session called the ‘Living Library’ where you will have the chance to speak to employers one-to-one and ask them your burning questions.

If global and local companies, fun activities and FREE food isn’t enough, how about a chance to spend two weeks in Paris on a business internship with Petrus Communications? Harry McCalvey, who secured his Petrus internship after attending the event last year, said: ‘the Employability Day helped me to find my career path. I got to visit Paris, work with international clients and learn more about the work environment. Petrus offered to extend my internship and I am now working part-time in the Newcastle office alongside my degree.’
